As Richard mentioned in an earlier post, last Monday He and I, along with our brother Eden, spent the day carving together and chatting. It was a bit cold and frosty outside, so we took over Richard's kitchen.

I can probably count on my fingers the times that we've got together to carve and this is something that I definitely want to do more of this year. Richard had the idea that we all carve the same type of spoon, so he gave us one of his cooking spoons to copy.

I like the way the spoon design of that cocking spoon evolved from the shape Richard spotted in my very first blog post.

Hi Frederik, I wasn't aware that Richard took the design idea from you, but I've just checked out your blog and I can definitely see it, especially on the back of the spoon (which I forgot to take a picture of). So thanks for the inspiration. Your blog is fantastic! The photographs look very professional. I just wish I spoke German.
DeleteHi Julian, I wouln´t exactly call it "taking from me". What Richard did was what I hope every one of us creating things does. Seeing something you like and evolve it into a thing of your own.
